Globe Tutorial
Part 2
8. Apply another new layer from Menu bar. (Layers- New Raster Layer) To this
layer we will add the base. Click on the Picture Tube
Icon
scroll to the GlobeFrame_Gold
tube. With a click apply it to the new, layer4. Use the Deformations Tool to move it and size it properly over the
top of the globe.
Now we will use the Floodfill Tool, click on this layer, anywhere away from the
globebase, this should floodfill the area with the #193D73
color.
9. Now
finish up by using the Crop Tool
to balance out the canvas around the globe. So it now appears
like this:
10. It's now time to apply our framing effect.
From the Menu Bar click Selections - Select All. Then click on
Selections again, this time choose Modify
and contract by 10. One more time click on Selections this time choose Invert.
Now move to Image - Effects -
Drop Shadow. Apply these
settings
Back to
Image - Effects- Outer Bevel. Apply these settings.
To Image - Effect - Inner Bevel
and apply these settings.
Finish by going back to Selections and Select
None.
Your globe is now complete. We will add some
sparkle to it and save the frames!
11. Start by adding a new layer. Then click the Picture Tube icon, scroll to find Snowglobe snow tube. Size it down to 50 and click to apply
it to this layer. Then depending on the look you want leave it this way. Or, go
to the layers palette, and drag this layer down below the globe image. This will
achieve a more subtle look. If you like, you can add a few stars to the layer, I
put the Star tube in the zip for you.
12. Now right-click on any layer in your layer palette
and choose Merge - Merge Visible. Click on File - Save As. Save it as horse1 as a psp
file.
13. Click on Edit and Undo. (If you added stars- keep clicking Undo to clear them all.) Then click on the snow layer to
make sure its the activate one. Go to Image - mirror.
(Add some new stars) Back to the Layers Palette, right-click on a layer, choose
Merge - Merge Visible. Then save this image as
horse2.psp.
14. Repeat step
13 except flip the Snowglobe Snow layer, with the
Image - flip command. Save the last image as
horse3.psp.
Sit back take a breather the worst is over, and
your doing just fine!
Open Animation Shop. Use the Wizard to put it all
together.
It is easiest here just to show you the screens in
order. Keep hitting next until you get to the window asking you to load your
images.
Here use the add button to open your browser. Add
your 3 horse.psp files. Their order doesn't matter. Then next, and
finish.
Once the wizard finishes, if you like what you see, hit
File - Save As, give it a name and your
finished!
Congratulations!
Please let me know how you
came out.
